At not even two years of age, our little girl has already accumulated 3 cars and a motorcycle, all of which can be ridden on. Ok, the motorcycle is actually rocks in place but Mackenzie still manages to make that thing move across the room when she’s on it. I think perhaps we’ve started her interest in cars a bit too young…but thankfully all of these awesome toys have been gifts!

Mack got a Bobby Car from the company Mr Big before she was even born from some of our family here in Germany. And I have to say that the classic style of them is just super cute. Mack insisted on removing one of the side stickers. And so far we’ve only had other stickers on there temporarily but I know there are more sticker packages for them too so perhaps when she gets a bit bigger we’ll let her pimp out her Bobby Car a bit.

Bobby Cars are wildly popular here in Germany and I would guess that just about every kid has one. They’ve been around for many, many years and the original Bobby Cars actually have quite a few accessories available for them, including a trailer. They have a hitch hole in both the front and the back which I guess allows you to do even more stuff with them. We were thinking about putting a rope through the front Mack could ride along while we walk the dog…but we haven’t been that daring yet. A pusher would be nice for it though.

Something about these cars is just so retro to me. I mean look at this wheel…is that not retro? Obviously totally cute as well but it just screams nostalgia at me.

These cars are intended for kids 1-3 years old but I know big kids like to lean on them with one knee and push with the foot on the ground to race down things. I won’t name any names but I will say that it’s quite fun. 🙂

Shortly afterward, we got another Bobby Car…but this one was from BMW. Talk about stylin’. They call it a Baby Racer and it looks like a tiny little blue Z4. Sooo cool. And of course also a gift from some friends of the family who actually own a BMW dealership. The seat is orange and it’s really sporty looking. The Baby Racer does weigh at least a pound or two more than the Bobby Car but Mack actually learned to drive this one first because it was a tiny bit closer to the ground and she could ride it before she was 1. Needless to say she’s now a pro on both of them after so much time to practice. We’ve even let her ride them in the house from time to time.

They really spare no details with these. A tiny BMW must also have tiny BMW wheels. So cute.

Yesterday, we stopped by the dealership where Stefan got his 7-series and the salesman told us that Mack would get to pick out a new BMW Baby Racer as a special gift from him! Of course we didn’t tell him we already had one at home…free is free — and we figured maybe they are even cooler now than before.

And boy are they. Mack immediately picked out the last of the limited edition dark green Baby Racers with a beige seat. Not only is the color totally awesome but it also has working lights!

I just can’t even believe it. The headlights can be turned on and off and you also have left and right blinkers which are operated via this tiny little panel.

Apparently, this version of the BMW Baby Racer seems to be fairly rare and appears to cost at least €40 more than the blue version without working lights. No wonder the sales guy cringed when she picked it out! Not even two years old and already knows what the good stuff is. We are so in trouble!

By the way, if you haven’t entered the Newborn Baby Clothes giveaway yet, you still have time!
