Alya did hear correctly underground – it’s true – her fur mommy and fur sister are coming over to play this afternoon. This will set off a cleaning frenzy around the house here in a few moments and likely again when they leave. Newf fur from 3 newfies – yikes!

This weekend has been ridiculously hot for mid April – in the low 80’s for the past few days. We are loving it, but Ayla is having a bit of trouble adjusting to the sudden increase in temperature. So we told her to pace herself this morning after her dip in the creek. But no, she wouldn’t listen and decided to go for a play session with a boy doggie roughly her size. They played really well together, but afterwards we had one tired puppy on our hands. On the way back to the farm Ayla decided she had enough and just plomped herself down in the a cool, shady sport and refused to go on. She did decide that it would be better to follow us home and is now passed out in the shade of the horse stables.

A few hours of rest will do her good, so she is nice and refreshed when the fur family arrives. Good thing there is a few bottles of water in the freezer for later on! Summer is coming and it’s time to bring those water bottles on the walk again.
