What do you know…two weeks in a row again! π
The theme for You Capture this week is “spring” — and who would want to pass that up. Hopefully some wonderfully creative people have also taken the assignment literally and will be sharing pictures of springs — the idea actually just came to be while I was typing this, otherwise I might have gone out to find a few!
If you’d like to join You Capture or admire the photography of others, you’re invited to visit I Should Be Folding Laundry — where you’re almost alway sure to find photos of some of the cutest babies on the planet!
So first, a few flowers of spring….
And let’s not forget the tons of lovely apple blossoms all around right now. The cherries have already dropped their petals and it’s almost like snow everywhere.
And of course, with warmer weather come plenty of bugs. I have already seen more of them than I’d like and some of them are just downright strange looking. I was telling Stefan the other day that I’m pretty sure I saw the baby cousin one of those flying bugs from Evolution…
Couldn’t resist the excuse to pull out my macro lens and the zoom filters to get up close and personal with these guys.
And a bunch of busy ants at work. I have no idea what it is about currant bushes that are so enticing — but the ants are all over them, fruit or no fruit.
Our lilac is in full bloom at the moment and just smells wonderful. But I found that close up, it looks quite a bit like popcorn. π
And finally, spring is our Newfie always heading for the water to splash around and cool off a bit…
You really captured some beautiful shots this week – that first captures of the spring flowers has some great color. I love that lilac bush (and now I want one!) and the close up of the ants are great! Well done!! I think I see some slobber being slung about as well as pure water. π
Beautiful pictures Tiffany. I am intrigued by flowers and insects both. Oh, did I forget to say dogs? Sorry Ayla!
Unfortunately for me the best picture I could take that would represent spring would be a red nose and a box of tissues. π Elm trees are the biggest culprit but thankfully they are about done for the year. Cedars are starting to drop their pollen in clouds now. My normally blue car is frosted with yellow.
Atchoo!! The world is still a beautiful place though.
ha, they Do look like popcorn! Loving the first shot too – I’d liked that famed please. π
These are beautiful. I want to print them out and hang them on my wall!
I ADORE that lilac shot and yes, it does resemble popcorn – how funny! It also just looks heavenly from the way you captured it. Happy Spring!!
I love the expression of pure joy on your sweet pups face. And bugs are not my favorite part of spring (at all!), but I’m glad they are there because they certainly work hard helping all the flowers to bloom. =>
Love the photos! Especially the first few ones of the flowers. Not a fan of the spider though…creeps me out!
Wonderful spring photos. I really love them all. The lilac really does look like popcorn.
Great shots! Can’t wait until things actually start growing here and I can go out and get some ‘growing things’ photos.
You flower shots are just gorgeous!
