We didn’t get anything done around the house this weekend because we weren’t here. But thankfully it will be a short week here as Thursday is a holiday here in Germany…and Stefan has taken Friday off just because he can. 🙂 We thought we would be having his ten year class reunion here this coming weekend and would be spending those two days finishing up various projects around the house…but it turned out that there weren’t too many people interested in catching up with old friends. We will still have company here because a very informal class reunion is now going to be held with 7 people, including me and hubby. The number was up to 8 yesterday but one of the organizers pulled out at the last minute. That person also happened to be the only other girl planning to attend. Maybe she got scared about that fact. I personally don’t mind. I’ve always been one of the guys and I already know 3 of the 6 guys coming pretty well.
Ultimately, though, this now means that we won’t be going to any extra trouble to do things like paint as many interior doors as possible or stress about the fact that the repairs on the foundation have not been started at all…much like painting outside. Instead we will go ahead with our plans to finish a few more things up in the greenhouse (repair the roof which was damaged by wind recently & perhaps start building the potting benches so we can move everything from our kitchen table) and run some errands for food and drinks…and overall just experience a whole lot more stress!
