It’s been several weeks since our last visit to the house but today we will finally be going back and spending the night at the farm. We have a meeting with a kitchen company called Vorwerk. One of their reps happened to be out in the area when we were working on the house one afternoon and asked if we’d had a consultation yet. They come out and basically tell you how they would best optimize you kitchen space with their line of cabinets, appliances and other products and then hope you will buy some of their stuff. From past research, Vorwerk is usually very high quality and therefore very high price but if they are able to come up with some planning ideas that we haven’t thought of yet, we are all ears.
The meeting is at 6 pm tonight so it will be a bit of a trial run for hubby as well since it will be rush hour then and he’ll have about 30 minutes to get from work to the house. It should be doable and a lot will likely depend on when he actually manages to leave the office (I’m definitely hoping he’s mostly on time). And then he will also get to check out what the traffic is like in the mornings which should be a bit lighter since he leaves so early.
We are taking some chalk so we can mark up the former workshop and sort of visualize a bit where the new kitchen will be. Perhaps it will also give us some new ideas on how we want it to flow and so on.
