Ok, it’s been too long once again since I last posted. But that doesn’t mean things have been at a standstill around here! For one, we got the glass replaced in the front door! And I got the bill yesterday which only came out to €63 so we’re pretty pleased about that as well.
Tomorrow we are going to finally buy the floor trim for the guest house so that when Stefan’s parents come to visit in a couple weeks, it will be here, ready and waiting to be put on. We also will be ordering a step for outside our kitchen door so you don’t step off into oblivion when you walk out that door (over a foot door to the ground). And Stefan and his dad will be taking down the shutters from the front of the house, sanding them and repainting them so the house will be looking fresh and nice for the spring. We still need to finish painting the bottom half of the house also (among a million other things) but those are the items on their agenda (at their insistence, not ours!)
Why aren’t we do all this ourselves? Surely we’re capable! Well yes – but they are running out of projects on their own home so they figure we have plenty projects ourselves, why not borrow some. And Stefan’s family will be in town on June 15th for his birthday so we want the place looking its best. AND finally, I can’t be up 3 floors on a ladder because there’s a bun in the oven. Yep, we are going to have a new addition to the family and it will not have any fur this time around!
We actually got to see the baby again today in an ultrasound and there was quite a bit of movement this time around. Maybe we have an athlete on our hands which would be a miracle since Stefan and I are not really sporty, per say. We’re going to need something to refer to it by for the next few weeks until we know if it’s a boy or girl..
Congratulations!
Thanks! We’re excited and freaked out at the same time….kinda like with the house actually lol
Oh, only saw this today! Congratulations – great news!! Enjoy the coming months, they’ll be over much too soon, I can tell you ;-).
And just let me give you one advice: Have a rest whenever you can, even if you feel perfectly well. I didn’t – and the result is that I’m on early maternity leave due to preterm labor… But everything is alright.
Wishing you happy months ahead and enjoy all the changes and preparations 🙂
Best
Anna (34 weeeks pregnant by now)
Hi Anna!
Thanks so much. I will try to keep myself from overdoing it but I usually do end up trying to do too much so I guess it could get interesting. At least we finished the guest house already so we have a place to put everyone who will certainly be coming to see us now…and have a room for the baby too!
You’re one of the first people I thought of when I found out…funny how life takes these little twists and turns. We thought we’d have a bit more time to get things around here in order…apparently God had other plans and we finished things up just like He wanted!
Take care of yourself and the little one! Do you know what it will be yet or are you guys waiting to find out?
All the best!
Tiffany
Congrats! We are so excited for all 3 of you! When do you find out the sex? When is your actual due date? I am 26 1/2 weeks and feeling bigger every day! It is a true miracle to be pregnant…just wait until you feel the movements! 🙂
Hi Guys!
I’m only 12 weeks right now so quite a ways to go still…but it passes so quickly! Next appointment is on June 10th so we’ll get to see what sort of things are going on in there again 🙂
I’m so happy for you guys too! It’s the year of babies around me – seems like nearly everyone I know is having one or just had one! So exciting!! And I definitely can’t wait til a)I’m finally really showing and b) can start feeling things! 🙂
