On Monday, Stefan got his motorcycle license so he can commute to work by bike. Fun times indeed. While we were waiting to go pick up his new motorcycle, we decided to run by the pet store since I needed to go by there anyway. Stefan was hoping to find some sort of motorcycle-related toy for Ayla (this was before she killed Buddy of course) but the only thing they had was something similar to a tractor wheel which just didn’t cut it.

Instead we found a KONG ball (they’ve just started carrying a lot more KONG products at Fressnapf) and I had to get Ayla one. She generally enjoys chasing balls and in the courtyard it’s great because they roll back to you due to its gentle slope when she gets tired or bored. This ball is really fun, though, because it bounces really well and in a crazy fashion like the crazy rubber balls I used to get as a kid from vending machines. I’m actually a bit afraid I might bounce it too hard one day and it will end up on the roof or going over our fence or who knows where…and it’s rather solid so I could actually break something with it.

Ayla goes crazy trying to chase this thing down because it just doesn’t want to stay in her mouth! And the slightest touch will send it bouncing away which is just great fun. They have another similar one which has little knob-type things all over it and it is supposed to bounce really wildly…I’m hoping they start carrying that in the store soon too…and Ayla’s chances of destroying this thing are not very high. So far she hasn’t made any dents in any of her KONG toys! ๐Ÿ™‚
