This morning during our walk Ayla was having a great time amusing herself. We’ve gone from highs in the 90s and clear skies this weekend to rain, drizzle and highs in the 60s now – and of course Ayla is really enjoying it. She is going to be in great need of a bath very, very soon because she definitely has Stinky Dog Syndrome right now!
As we were walking along the path this morning, Ayla was going crazy chasing after things…although I really can’t be certain what she saw – or thought she saw. I have noticed a field mouse from time to time scamper across the path so I think that may be what she’s after…or perhaps it’s grasshoppers, but I never see them jumping around her. Or maybe I’m way off base and she’s just chasing the blowing grass or a bug she thinks she sees. But at least she makes the walk more entertaining 🙂
Oh I so wish we had your weather. Can’t stand the 90s anymore! That party looks like it was loads of fun, and that spread! I’d be diving in….

Dakota loves to chase (and eat) grasshoppers.
We did think at first that it might be grasshoppers but we don’t seem to have many of them around this year. I’m sure Ayla would eat them if she found any, though…or the usual crushing by paw and then looking all confused as to why it’s no longer moving. 🙂
