Hi everyone,

My mom said maybe I should write this post this morning to let you all know that I’m doing better and it’s not just her lying to cover anything up 😉

Yesterday the vet gave me this awful shot and I thought I might have to snap at her. It really hurt! And then everything in my body started tingling and burning. I guess that was from one of the things on the shelf that the vet put in that ouchie plastic thing with the sharp end. I was trying to eat those bottle before – guess I just should have gone for it! I knew nothing good could come from them!!

Thankfully my mom was there to hold my paw. I crawled up in her lap in the vet’s office and didn’t want her to leave me behind. Then in the car ride home I was SO THIRSTY I thought I was going to die. It was a whole 15 minutes car ride home but I didn’t think I would make it. Mom even told me that if I couldn’t behave she was going to pull over and put me in the back behind the cargo divider in her Defender. Guess I was getting a bit out of hand but I just had to get some water and fast!

I was pretty worn out after the vet visit and, after drinking a few bowls of water, I took a nice long nap. The rest of the evening was pretty uneventful except my humans kept me on a leash most of the night which wasn’t fun at all. Even though they gave me some extra tasty treats and even a homemade frosty paw, I wasn’t too excited about it all. They did actually let me sleep without having the leash on last night, though. I guess I was a pretty good girl in the evening and didn’t complain too much about being tethered to the stairs…or the fact that mom locked up a bunch of my toys that I love to run around with and get crazy.

I guess we’ll see how the day progresses. My leg isn’t really bothering me as much now and I’m not really limping at all. Even my appetite has been mostly restored and the pills mom has to feed me are really good when wrapped in salami! I’ve never had that before and boy is it good!!

Thanks very much for all those positive thoughts you guys! It’s already helping!! Now I just have to behave myself over the weekend and through the next 4 days until the pills run out. If all is still looking good then and my limp isn’t back, mom says I don’t have to go back and be tortured again by the nice lady at the vet’s office…but she does have tasty treats there so it might be worth it!! 🙂
