Maggie the super fabulous Airedale tagged me on Sunday but it’s taken me a while to get the humans off the computer…
You all know a lot about me already (like the fact that I’m a master thief and I can still lay in the “frogger” even at almost 1 1/2 years old) so this could be hard.
- I have a daily routine on workdays that I am rather set on…but during the weekends and holidays, anything goes. During the week I want to be walked at 7am, eat breakfast, play at about 8, take a nap from 12-5pm or so, be fed at 6pm, go for a walk at 7pm and then just hang out the rest of the time. But my humans don’t get up at 5:45am during the weekends so my schedule is very modified on weekends. I just take it all in stride, though.
- I go from crazy F.R.A.P.-mode to normal, loving puppy in 1.5 seconds…but usually only when treats are involved. Otherwise I will drive my humans crazy until they lock me out of the room.
- I am camera shy…but mostly only for my humans. I let other people take photos of me all the time…but when my humans want to take my picture, I generally look the other way π
- I fake injuries sometimes for sympathy or if I’m tired. Sometimes when we go for a walk and it’s hot or I just don’t feel like going any futher, I will limp a bit or make my humans believe they need to give my paws a thorough inspection…and then I will be normal quickly after. Actually, my humans once tried to teach me to limp on command with one of my front paws…but I learned doing it with my back paws on my own π
- I like all sorts of barnyard animals…except goats. I’ve met sheep, cows, horses, chickens, turkeys and possibly a few other things but I really don’t like goats. I’ve met two different breeds even and they just send me into a frenzy.
- I will not drink out of my water bowl more than once. Since I trade water to drool about 1 to 1 when I drink, I think this is reasonable. When I’m done there is a big drool spill inside the bowl and I’m just not going to drink that. So I trained my humans to check and refill my bowls regularly so I always have fresh water.
- I barely sleep when we’re travelling or camping. I need to play guard dog and make sure nothing happens to my humans so anytime we travel somewhere and don’t stay at home overnight, I am on alert. When we finally head home, though, I sleep a lot in the car and then practically go into hibernation when we get home.
- I’m the smallest and perhaps the most normal of all my fur-siblings. My sister is quite the terror and makes her humans pretty crazy. She climbs on their roof and into the neighbor’s yard, she destroys everything she can…she’s generally just a bad egg which I blame on her Landseer markings. And my brothers don’t seem to be quite as bad as her but still causing a lot of trouble with there humans…one of them even managed to get returned because his humans just couldn’t handle him anymore.
Okie dokie…who to tag, who to tag…
I think I will pass this torch to the magnificent Nugget who I am pretty sure hasn’t done this one yet!!
You’re very smart Ayla to have your mom change your drinking water every single time! Why should you have to drink icky water?
I’ve tried the fake limping trick too! It works huh? The hoomans are only too happy to give us extra help to get us through our horrible ordeal! hehehehe
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Hi Ayla,
Maybe you are the nicest doggy in your fur-siblings family because you have great parents.
OK, I am off to figure out what eight things you don’t know about me.
Licks,
Nugget
Aww, thanks Nugget. We really appreciate that! But we won’t tell Ayla just yet – she might get too big headed lol
Can’t wait to read your 8 things π
