My dear friend Katie was blessed to have a little girl about a year before Mackenzie was born. And because she became a mommy before me, Katie already knew all kinds of cool stuff for kids long before I did. And I also have to say that being over here in Germany has put me at a distinct disadvantage — or maybe I just don’t follow enough cool mommy blogs who have the low down on this stuff.
Meet the Munchkin Snack Catchers. These things are seriously brilliant…and BPA Free! ๐
These 9 oz cups will hold anything from Cheerios to apple slices…and the flaps on top keep everything inside the cup instead of all over your house. Putting a leash on them so they can be attached to your child would be a nice additional feature since they do tend to disappear when your toddler is snacking on the go. Yeah, I know that’s not recommended and these cups are not toys, but trying telling a toddler to stand still while munching on apples in the morning. How she loses them when I’m standing there does amaze me, though.
When we first got one of these cups, Mack didn’t seem strong enough to get her hand into the cup…but after another month or so, she figured out how to operate them. I guess she was about 1 year old when we started using it regularly. We had that cup in use constantly and it was bad when we couldn’t find it. Washing dog fur off of apple slices for the fourth time in an hour is just not fun. We actually had the cup in the car with us when we had the accident. It’s one of the things we didn’t recover…so I begged for new ones and now we have 4! And all in different colors — almost too good to be true. Thanks so much ya’ll!
Anyone with toddlers needs these cups. Get two of them on Amazon.com for under ten bucks (sorry, they don’t seem to be available over here in Germany.) ๐
