Last night was a very long one here. Hubby didn’t get home til 11:30ish which was better than anticipated since he’d been to his company Christmas party in Dusseldorf (2-4 hours drive, depending on traffic.) Mack was already feeding when he got home…and decided to keep that going off and on until about 4am. I had a few cat naps in there from time to time (as did she) but mostly she was feeding, ravenously.
She slept a lot during the day…and later into the evening – I’m blaming it on that. And how can you set a schedule with a baby? The night before, she slept from 11-5am…which is fantastic! She’s slept about 5 hours solid most nights she’s been home. Granted it was in our bed but can you blame her for wanting to stay warm and cozy? And yes, I am immensely careful co-sleeping with her. I probably get the worst sleep of all this way but it’s better than listening to her cry.
We’ll see if we can’t do a bit better today. Both mommy and daddy are looking to hit the hay early…so we’ll see how it goes! 😉
I just have to say I think it’s awesome you let your daughter sleep with you. I wish we’d done that from the start. We tried and tried to make her sleep in her crib, but now she’s 18 months and happily sleeping in our bed. You’ll get used to it and sleep well eventually- one morning recently I woke up to Grace sitting in bed beside me tapping my nose saying “wake, wake.” My best friend said that by the time her daughter was six months old they would both hardly wake up when she nursed.
