Finally the rain stopped around 11 am and, after a long walk with our newfie dog, it was time for lunch.
Yesterday at the market, we bought quite a few local products, including buffalo mozzarella fresh from the farm, a chunk of Parmesan, salami, prosciutto and other tasty things. It was heavenly! We just finished our meal of tomatoes with mozzarella and bread with slices of Parmesan, prosciutto and Italian salami. We topped it off with a nice glass of vino (pinot bianco), which is coming from a 5 liter glass jug. The wine has an interesting flavor which is very light and a little fruity and despite our fear that we might be totally disappointed, we would say it can compete with most pinot bianco’s you get from name brand vineyards in local Italian restaurants around the world.
