Last Thursday, I started coming down with a cold…and as of today I am still dealing with. But thankfully most of the sore throat, runny nose, achy head fun has subsided. Unfortunately, I managed to give it to my 3-year-old, and although she is a real trooper in life, she has not been the most fun the last two days.

If that’s not enough excitement, it has been below freezing here for more than a week. And I’m just cold now. All the way down to my bones. So if you are reading this and live in South Florida and would like me to be your roommate, I will move in immediately! Just let me pack my bags.

Needless to say, there have been lots and lots of layers involved in my outfits this week. Two pairs of sock with fuzzy house shoes over them. Long underwear under my jeans. Long sleeved shirts under my big wool sweaters. And then the whole ordeal of dressing up like the Michelin man to go outside. Brr.

wiww cold

Hard to imagine this sweater is about 10 years old! Old Navy just gets it totally right sometimes. πŸ™‚

So my style this week isn’t particularly stunning or exciting, but it is practical and warm!

wiww layers

The layers of clothing on my leg...wool sock, cotton sock, long underwear, jeans. And a furry house-shoe as well. Layers are my friend

By the way, can anyone explain to me why long underwear seems to be required to be completely ill fitting? I cannot seem to find any that is long enough for my legs…and what is with the super long crotch?? Are you supposed to pull them up to your armpits, a la Steve Urkel?

Oh and we’re probably going to a 60’s party this weekend which means I have to remember to keep the camera handy! πŸ˜‰
